Man requires a reason to do something and wants to see success.
In spiritual he cannot see himself going anywhere so he stays away from becoming an aspirant of spiritual.
At the outset I will say that there are no tangible gains that one can see in spiritual.
One shouldn’t judge the spiritual followers at any given point in time.
Sanatan Dharma or the eternal path tells us that one may stop the cycle of rebirths. What if one doesn’t believe in rebirths?
The next is meeting God or becoming a devotee of that God. But what if that too is just one’s imagination and nothing else.
Getting to know like-minded folks and doing some group activities like satsangs!
Easy path to fulfilling your life goals or dreams.
Now all of the above may sound a little silly but aren’t there billions following the same path and dreaming of fulfilling their aspirations?
Well, you first have to stop your expectations and start giving spirituality a chance like any other subject.
Today, the people we have in our lives have little knowledge about spiritual. They are more into rites and rituals.
Haven’t you seen Yoga classes in your neighbourhood minting money? Meditation and breath-work or breathing exercises are words dished out by all and sundry.
There are gurus galore packaging courses, patenting breathing exercises, strange yoga postures or exercises, retreats and a whole load of journals and books peddled everywhere.
So what you need is a proper guidance from someone who knows and understands your needs. You don’t want to get conned into some weird groups or lose your trust.
It all boils down to money everywhere so one becomes very cautious, having been bitten by the same bug earlier and fallen flat on their backs. You are very cynical to all these new fangled stuff.
So let me go back to the first para and tell you more about spirituality of the Sanatan kind.
The end goals are important so let’s begin there.
You have heard about Moksha, Self-Realisation, Liberation, Spiritual Awakening and so on. All these words have different meanings so let me decipher them for you so you know what you should be seeking.
I am assuming that you have read till here so you seem interested. Let’s say you get that one single ding in your head and then everything seems crystal clear. You know you are on your journey into the world of spiritual. It’s epiphany for you.
They say God is everywhere and so you assume he is in you and even in your worst enemy. Yet, you still have a body and you have a soul too. Just knowing that is enough to begin your journey. You now want to see that soul and know that your body is only a container like a tin can. We call that spiritual awakening.
You say that you are not the doer but someone else does it for you. The body just does its job, while you just observe its activity. You now know that something else or someone else is running your show. That separate identity is the self.
Just knowing that there is a self doesn’t help. You term the body or the one who performs action as the lower self and the one who just watches it all is the higher Self.
Just knowing that you can reach the state of becoming The Self. Once you say Self-Realisation then you are the Self and know about it. But can you hold that knowledge till death?
Moksha is beyond all of the above. It means you aren’t coming back anymore. You are gone forever, never to take a rebirth. You are that Buddha.
But there are those who don’t care for all these things and consider them frivolous or silly. They only feel the love of God and want to be constantly in His company. That’s the devotee for you and he only cares for love and nothing else.
So in the end tell me what you have learnt? Are you still interested in all this or feel it too distant?
I will handhold you and show you the path. You can join my group so that you can get to learn more about the path towards knowing spiritual.
