Some experiences can’t be captured in words — they must be lived. This is one such moment when, under the grace of my Krsna Guruji, I didn’t just visit a temple… I met God Himself.

A Newborn in Spirituality
I was just a few months old in spirituality — learning under the tutelage of my beloved Krsna Guruji.
Along with a few of his disciples, we set out on a holy pilgrimage to Tirupati.
Little did I know that this journey would forever change how I understood God, Grace, and Guru.

The Journey Begins with Goddess’s Blessing
Our first stop was the temple of Goddess Padmavati, the consort of Lord Venkateshwara. We offered our prayers before her, seeking her blessings.
My Krsna Guruji narrated the story of how Mahalakshmi gets angry with her beloved Lord Balaji and descends the hills and creates her own abode.
“It is a sacred rule,” he said, “that one must first seek Mahalakshmi’s grace before climbing up the hill to see her Lord. Without her blessing…
The Ascent to the Seven Hills
After receiving her blessings, we began our journey up the seven sacred hills.
We drove up the seven sacred hills and stayed overnight. Everyone was filled with excitement, not really knowing what the next day would bring.
Early the next morning, we had the privilege of an exclusive darshan, guided by a temple official. We reached the gate right on time and were let inside.
The temple staff asked us to sit near the sanctum sanctorum while they cleared the remaining crowd and got everything ready for our special puja.
I could feel my heart racing, but my Guruji sat calm – absorbed in the Self, still and radiant.
The Question
Suddenly, My Guruji turned to us with his serene smile and asked gently,
“Tell me, how will you know when Lord Balaji has arrived?”
We looked at each other, confused. “But Guruji, He’s already here, isn’t He?” I said.
A knowing smile appeared on his face.
“Look there,” he said, pointing toward a small shrine facing the sanctum. “Go and see whether His vehicle — Garuda — has arrived.”
After reaching the seven hills and resting overnight, we entered the temple at dawn for Lord Balaji’s darshan. As we waited for the morning rituals, Guruji suddenly asked, “How will you know when the Lord has arrived?”
